Review: Benefit Fine One One

If it's one thing you do this Summer, invest in Benefit's Fine One One lip and cheek colour! My mum gave this to be for my 19th birthday back in February, however I only began using it lately, and Oh. My God. it is one of the greatest products I have ever come across.

Originally, I was a little skeptical of the product itself. As the product is packaged in a applicator that uses a wind-up, wind-down function (similar to lipsticks), I was a little nervy the product might snap in half if I applied it too hard. Previously I purchased one of E.L.F's All Over Cover sticks, and while reviews I read raved about the product, mine ended up being a total mess, leaving me with foundation all over my hands, clothes and make up station...pretty much everywhere except my actual face! Soooooooo, I was a little apprehensive that this product would be similar, but boy was I wrong.

The product is so easy to use, you simply wind the product up, just enough so you can apply it to your cheek-bone and lips with ease, and the rest is child's play. The product is quite similar to the All Over Cover stick, yet there are three colours contained. A light highlighter for tops of the cheek bone, a soft rose tone for the apples of your cheeks and a darker pink to add definition and structure to the cheek. I also used a combination of the rose pink and darker pink for a lip tint as well, which worked beautifully with rosy cheeks, giving my face a fresh look.

Not only is the product a piece of cake to use, but it is also ideal for days when you're in a rush, and just don't have the time to spend on your makeup. I found it great, especially when I was late for lectures, I gave my cheek a quick sweep of the product and I was on my way! It's also perfect for wearing on nights out as well, I found that product really stays put and doesn't budge compared to some powder blushes and bronzers.

Fine One One has now worked its way onto my list of makeup bag essentials. The only downside is that it comes only in one colour, so if you have darker skin, you might need to apply a little more of the product.

Overall I thought the product was absolutely stellar! It's a great time to invest in it as well, as it will work beautifully with tanned skin (fake/real depending on where this Irish weather takes us) as we approach the summer months. It retails at €34 and can be bought from all benefit counters and of course BTs and BT2s.

Verdict:
4/5 - Great product, easy to use, stays put. My advice is to see for yourself and invest :) Have a look at the YouTube video for more info! :)

Online articles :)

Hey guys, I know I've been neglecting my poor little fashion blog, but Summer is finally here and I am back with a vengeance!

During the year, I became so busy with college I pushed my poor little blogs to side, believe me the life of a journalism student requires a SERIOUS amount of reading and writing about very dull books, and so I couldn't bring myself to even bring myself to writing anymore.

So here are a few links to some of my articles that I wrote this year, I think my personal favourite was, 'Judging a girl by the length of her skirt' Please give them a read! Don't forget to leave your replies, love getting your feedback.

Thanks guys :)
